Data deletion

You can delete your bukpress data at any time. This page explains exactly what gets removed and how to ask for it.

Delete a single project

In the app, open your projects list, use the menu on a project and choose delete. That removes the project's Markdown, its design settings and any cover or background artwork uploaded to it, along with the exports rendered from it.

Delete your whole account

Email support@buk.press from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account record, including your encrypted email address and password hash.
• Every project: Markdown, design settings, covers and background images.
• Your Brand Kits and your font library, including any font files you uploaded.
• Every exported PDF and EPUB stored for your account.

What may be retained

Billing and invoice records held by our payment processor, where retention is required for tax or accounting purposes, and anonymized operational logs that no longer identify you. Fonts imported from Google Fonts are cached as shared, non-identifying files — deleting your library entry removes your access to it without deleting a file that is identical for everyone.

Before you delete

Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore a deleted account. Export anything you still want — the files you download are yours to keep, with no watermark and no expiry.
